Students from Darüşşafaka High School achieved a historic milestone at the Türkiye Regional Tournament of the TeenEagle English Competition, held from March 12 to 15. TeenEagle is a prestigious organization based in the UK, committed to assessing the English language proficiency, critical thinking abilities, and communication skills of youth worldwide.
The Türkiye regional finals attracted approximately 1,300 students from various schools nationwide. Our students demonstrated an exceptional combination of language proficiency and academic excellence, securing podium positions across five distinct categories.
Ahmet Faruk S., 10th grader, secured 3rd place nationally in the overall standings and achieved an outstanding 1st place in Türkiye in the Debate category.
Hülya Beste K., 11th Grader, awarded 3rd place in Türkiye in the Spelling Bee category.
In addition to these academic accomplishments, our students, Mehmet Nesip Ö. and Hülya Beste K., exemplified the ethos of Darüşşafaka in a commendable manner during the contest and were honored with the “Best Spirit” award for their significant contributions to the development of their peers throughout the event and during the preparatory book and film workshops.
Our students further solidified this spectacular performance in the individual medal rankings:
