Upon the will of our donor, Mr. Mustafa Nuri Kınık, who made very valuable contributions to Darüşşafaka, his wife Mrs. Bedriye Kınık and his daughter Mrs. Itır Kınık supported the renovation of our library.
Constructed with a total area of 503 m², the library has a reading room that can accommodate 48 people, five group study rooms, one conference room, and one research room with computers.
Our library provides services with three different sections, namely “General Collection”, “Secondary School Library”, and “Periodicals Section”.
All resources in each section of our library are arranged according to the “Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules”, an international cataloging standard, and the “Dewey Decimal Classification”, the library classification method based on the decimal system, and the library operates with an open shelf system.
All books and publications at our school library are tracked via DEKSIS, our school management system. Our library is supported with digital resources, providing different opportunities to its visitors.
