Sultans of Türkiye, the Darüşşafaka FRC Robotics Team as the first high school-level robotics club in Türkiye, has achieved a historic milestone by winning the “FIRST Impact Award”, one of the most prestigious honors in the FIRST Robotics Competition, held with the motto of “more than a robot” at the Yeditepe Regional from March 9–11, officially earning the right to represent Türkiye at the FIRST Championship in Houston, Texas, on April 29.

Following the FIRST Impact Award, the Sultans of Türkiye team delivered a dominant performance at the Haliç Regional from March 25–27, securing the highest robot performance score and claiming the Winner Award. Once again proving their technical excellence on the field, their innovative engineering and unique design solutions also earned them the Creativity Award, highlighting the team’s original approach to engineering.
The team’s accolades extended beyond technical performance. Sultans of Türkiye were also honored with the Safety All-Star Award. This recognition is reserved for teams that treat safety not merely as a set of rules, but as a sustainable value through education, practice, and awareness. This award reaffirms the team’s leadership in fostering and promoting a robust safety culture within the robotics community.

At the Haliç Regional, the team maintained an impeccable record, finishing all 12 matches undefeated. As a result of their high performance and points accumulated throughout the tournament, Sultans of Türkiye have climbed to 6th place globally among 3,746 teams, securing a formidable position on the international stage.
With four prestigious awards and world-class rankings, Sultans of Türkiye continues to inspire young people in Türkiye and represent Türkiye on the global stage through sustainable achievement in robotics and STEM.
