Yusuf C. and Rüzgar T., sixth and seventh graders who commenced their piano education at Darüşşafaka Secondary School, have demonstrated exceptional achievement, which was highlighted by their performance at the Youth Music Festival.
Darüşşafaka Students, who began their musical instrument learning journey in the sixth grade, have since chosen to specialize in piano, selecting it based on their individual predispositions from among nine available instrument branches. Yusuf, having completed seven months of instruction under the tutelage of Melek Ece Özçelik, participated in the selection process for the music festival organized by the Hungarian Cultural Center, performing Erik Satie’s “Gnossienne No.1” by French composer Erik Satie. And Rüzgar, who has been studying piano for one and a half years, showcased his skills by performing Polish composer Frederic Chopin’s “Nocturne in C# Minor”. Darüşşafaka students experienced the pride and joy of being selected for participation in the festival from a competitive pool of approximately 1,000 candidates.
Yusuf and Rüzgar delivered a remarkable piano recital at the Youth Music Festival, an annual event commemorating May 19 Youth and Sports Day, which our Great Leader, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, entrusted to the youth. This event was organized by the Hungarian Cultural Center in collaboration with the Liszt Institute.
