Ten 6th-grade students from Darüşşafaka Middle School participated in the Fairy Tale Route Tour in Germany, covering the cities of Hanau, Alsfeld, Kassel, Hameln, and Hannover, from June 10 to 13, accompanied by their guide teacher Seher Akkuş.
Sponsored by Leisure & Business Reiseorganisation, the students followed in the footsteps of the famous German literary figures, the Brothers Grimm, who compiled many well-known fairy tales.
As part of the tour, the students visited the Brothers Grimm Museum House, the Alsfeld Fairy Tale House, and the Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Fairy Tale House and Mine, where they learned about the creation process of these fairy tales. They watched street theater performances of Little Red Riding Hood and Cinderella, and followed the Pied Piper of Hamelin to experience the story along with its main character.
