Ten 8th grade students from Darüşşafaka Middle School participated in Space Camp Turkey in İzmir between July 7 and 13.
Space Camp Turkey, the second of its kind in the world and the first and only one in Turkey, provided Darüşşafaka students with an unforgettable space journey experience through its “Galactic Summer Camp” program, offering international-standard education in a safe environment.
The students had the opportunity to feel like real astronauts while experiencing virtual flights to Mars and the Moon, astronaut simulators, the Riot 3D Ride, and the Hurricane 360 VR simulators. They explored the Solar System with the “Magic Globe” and discovered the Red Planet through educational tools like the Discovery space shuttle and space station models in the interactive “Generation Mars” exhibition area.
The program, conducted in English, contributed to the students’ life skills through activities focused on problem-solving, time management, and teamwork.
