A total of 815 runners stated, “We race to help, if it is a matter of education”, as they took part in the 47th Istanbul Marathon, organized by Türkiye İş Bank.

Türkiye İş Bank 47th Istanbul Marathon, known as the world’s only intercontinental marathon, took place on November 2nd. Individual and institutional runners who support our society’s initiative “We race to help if it is a matter of education”, participated with the aim of contributing to the school and stationery expenses for over 1,000 students this year.

Our volunteers, who actively participated in the marathon to support our mission of “Equal Opportunity in Education,” were joined by Board Members Büşra Giray and Cenk Eyüboğlu, and Beşir Özmen, the Member of the Darüşşafaka Culture and History Commission, Ebru Arpacı, General Manager of Educational Institutions, Azize Şen Tosun, High School Principal, Şule Uyar, Secondary School Principal, Nilgün Eken, Vice Secretary General, along with various teachers, students, and staff.
Several prominent celebrities have initiated donation campaigns to support the book and stationery needs of our students, including Ceyda Kasabalı (Noluyo Ya Team), Yalın (Y Production Team), Orkun Işıtmak, Berk Keklik (Uberkuloz), Melih Abuaf, Ayşe Akbulut (AyşeileFitOl), Behçet Yalçın Özkara (AkademikLink), Ömer Şanlı, Burak Tatlıcı, and Yaren Kılıç (Tepkikolik Team), Yunus Canpolat and Batuhan Düşüngülü, who also participated in the marathon for Darüşşafaka.

Volunteer runners from Darüşşafaka, dedicated to transcending continents to advance high-quality education, are actively engaging in campaigns designed to collect donations until November 17th.
